Technical Program

The EMCC-4 aims at expanding and enhancing the collaboration of researchers from six Mediterranean Countries and USA. Three countries (Bulgaria, Italy and Romania) have joined the four founding countries (Israel, Turkey, Greece and the USA). Four topics of research have been selected:

Advanced materials and nanotechnology – catalytic materials, membranes, polymers, composites and ceramics;

Chemical process engineering – reaction engineering, environmental engineering, process systems engineering, process intensification, education, fuel cells;

Biological engineering – tissue engineering, bioprocess engineering, gene therapy, biomaterials; and

Transport phenomena and separation processes – Bioseparations, Interfacial phenomena, Environmental engineering, Membrane separation processes

Workshops designed to enhance collaboration will be an integral part of the conference. Proposals for specific workshops will be submitted prior to conference and distributed to the participants. Preliminary organization of the workshops program is essential to enable effective discussion and development of joint proposals. Follow on visits to Israeli academic institutions will be encouraged.

A poster session will be organized.
