The 41st meeting was held on June 9, 2005 in the Exhibition Gardens in Tel Aviv, for the third time. The location was selected as it can be easily reached by train from all over Israel. The meeting was conducted with the cooperation of the Departments of Chemical Engineering in the Technion and in BGU as well as the colleges which have CheE departments. Approximately 220 engineers from the industry and the academia participated in the meeting, together with many students who's participation was subsidized by the IIChE. Over 50 sessions and 40 posters were presented.

Parallel sessions on Biotechnology and Biomedicine in CheE, Process Automation, Fuel Cells and Processes in CheE, Complex Fluids, Nanomembranes and Polymers and a poster session were held. A workshop on membranes was also conducted with lectures from both industry and academia.
